Five More Florida Lawmakers Defect From DeSantis to Trump
Ron DeSantis has lost five more key backers from his backyard to Donald Trump. The Messenger reports that seven Republican state lawmakers from Florida announced Saturday they are endorsing Trump for president, and five of them had previously supported DeSantis. The governor still has dozens of legislators on his side, but the new defections come days after Florida Sen. Rick Scott and former DeSantis crony Randy Fine decided they are Team Trump.
