Gender reveal spectacularly backfires for expecting couple
A gender reveal has hilariously backfired after a father-to-be was struck in the groin by an out of control smoke bomb.
Tennessee couple Parker Stuard and Micah Toomba were standing on a property’s decking in front of eagerly awaiting friends and family.
With many recording the occasion on their mobile phones, the group weren’t to be disappointed as the reveal took an unfortunate turn.
Footage uploaded to Ms Toomba’s Facebook page shows Mr Stuard twisting the flare in an attempt to reveal the gender of their child.
As a puff of blue smoke shoots out from the smoke bomb indicating the couple are having a boy, the end discharges into his crotch, sending him writhing in pain.
A stunned Ms Toomba watches on in shock, with the congregation not sure whether to clap, laugh or rush to Mr Stuard’s aid.
“Guess we're never having kids again,” Mr Toomba joked on Facebook.
Thankfully, Mr Stuard made a full recovery, despite being a little sore, Fox17 Nashville reported.
The pair are expecting their first child in November.
