Fare-hopping London Underground passenger spat in face and punched man

A fare-hopping London Underground passenger spat in a man’s face and knocked out some of his teeth.

The victim was exiting Barking station at around 1.30pm on December 19 when they saw the man exit through the ticket gates closely behind another individual without paying.

They confronted the man, who spat at him before striking his face causing them to lose some of his teeth.

Officers investigating the assault have released CCTV images of a man that could help their investigation.
