Ex-Neighbours star Darius Perkins dies aged 54
Former Neighbours star Darius Perkins has died after a fight with cancer.
He died on Wednesday aged 54, the Herald Sun reported.
Friends and fans have paid tribute to him on social media.
Neighbours co-star and friend David Clencie told the Herald Sun: “We had this incredible bond. We were mates to the very end”.
Perkins appeared as the original Scott Robinson in Neighbours in 1985 before Jason Donovan took over the part.
He returned to the series to play Marty Kranic in 2013.
Perkins won the 1984 Logie award for Best Juvenile Performance for his role in the series All The Rivers Run.
He also appeared in The Sullivans, Prisoner, A Country Practice, The Flying Doctors and Home And Away.
