Luckily a theatre date to Eternity Playhouse's newest show The Motherf*cker with the Hat, a Tony Award-winning Broadway hit, does not disappoint. In fact it delivers wordy punch after punch with incredible energy, much hilarity, and plenty of truthful takeaways.
The story of the lovable, recovering alcoholic, ex-con Jackie (Troy Harrison) and his drug-addicted, foul-mouthed, sexy and long-suffering girlfriend Veronica (Zoe Trilsbach) doesn't come across as your typical star-crossed lovers tale, but from the second these two incredibly talented performers hit the stage, it seizes to matter - the audience is hooked.
With a killer script that never stops shocking and/or amusing, The Motherf*cker with the Hat, directed by Adam Cook, is a must see fun night out - even if you are out with a clinical psychologist.
The Motherf*cker with the Hat is showing at Sydney's Darlinghurst Theatre at the Eternity Playhouse until October 19.
