Elderly woman raped in her own home 'has no-one to care for her'
An elderly woman allegedly raped in her Perth home will spend the night in hospital because she has no one to take care of her.
She was on the phone to police when an intruder broke in, bashed the 76-year-old and sexually assaulted her.
Police rushed to the Armadale woman’s home after a desperate call for help in the middle of the day.
When they arrived, her alleged attacker was still in her backyard.
Police allege the 38-year-old attacker walked up the side of the house, came in the back door, and found the 76-year-old in her nightie.

The pensioner managed to dial triple zero – moments before he assaulted and raped her.
On Friday a court heard the woman was struck on the head four times before crawling to a chair and pulling herself up.
The accused allegedly followed her and said: “I haven’t been with a woman for a while.”
The accused allegedly told police he was the woman’s carer, but he did not know her name.
The victim has no family or friends to call on and lives on her own.
She remains in a stable condition at Armadale Hospital but has no-one to take care of her.
The accused was denied bail and will face court in a month.
