Brutal 'attack' by McDonald's staff on customer caught on film
WARNING DISTRESSING CONTENT: Four McDonald’s staff have been filmed kicking and stomping on a customer as he cowers on the ground.
The brutal attack reportedly began after the customer, in pink jeans, threw food at one of the workers at the Canning Town restaurant in east London on Tuesday night.
The victim can be seen sobbing as the men deliver successive blows to his torso and head.
Joseph Weare, who filmed the attack, told The Sun he was ordering his meal when “all hell broke loose” when the food was thrown.
“The server appeared to be offering to take the customer outside for a fight,” Mr Weare said.
“Four members of staff suddenly jumped over the counter, dragged him to the glass wall and began to punch him.
“They kept hitting him and he fell onto the floor, and then they stamped on him numerous times.
Describing the savage attack as a scene out of the movie Green Street Hooligans, he said the injured man was “crying like a child” when police arrived.
Four men aged 22, 26, 33 and 36 were all arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm.
A McDonald’s spokesman said only two of the workers had been suspended so far.
“We take matters like this extremely seriously and can confirm two individuals have been suspended; an internal investigation is taking place as a matter of urgency,” he said.
