Dog narrowly misses being run over after leaping out of car on freeway
An excitable dog has leapt from the window of a car travelling 80km/h in a Melbourne tunnel.
Video from the Eastlink Tunnel on Sunday shows the dog skidding on the road after jumping from the moving vehicle.
The pooch had jumped from the car but luckily other drivers were able to spot him and slowed down.
The dazed pooch can be seen walking from lane to lane near stunned drivers before its owner rushes to pick it up and put him back in the car.
Incredibly, the dog escaped serious injury and was only left with sore paws.
