The little girl was found about 3.50pm on Wednesday in Taro near Port Stephens after extensive search efforts by police.
The two-year-old disappeared from a childcare facility in Miranda, about 9am on Tuesday.
When the little girl could not be located, police attached to the Sutherland Shire Police Area Command began the search.
“Police would like to thank the media and the community for their assistance,” police said in a statement.
