Cyclist's furious reaction to people walking in bike lane

A cyclist fed up with oblivious pedestrians walking down bike lanes has taken a rather drastic measure to ensure they start paying more attention.

Helmet camera footage filmed in the streets of London shows pedestrians making their way down bike lines with little awareness of their surroundings.

“I am fed up with people walking in the cycle lane in London,” the rider wrote in the video’s description on YouTube.

He wasn’t kidding either. Rather than the conventional bell, he opted for the deafening wake-up call only an air horn can deliver.

Attaching it to the handlebar of his bike, the cyclist returns to the streets to see if 120 decibels was enough to make people notice him.

“It’s like they don’t even care that it’s there,” he added

“I decided to make my presence more known by investing in an air horn.”

It didn’t take long before he lined up his first unsuspecting pedestrian, unleashing the horn, sending them jumping and screaming out of his lane.

One woman received such a fright she can be seen dropping her entire cup of coffee on the ground.

However, not everyone was so forgiving of his bike modifications. One man walking down a narrow bike lane turned and confronted the cyclist before delivering an open handed strike to his head.

“Typical cyclist who wants people to obey there [sic] road signs but gives no regard to stopping at red lights or cycling in single file,” one social media user wrote.

“Clearly doesn’t understood the Highway Code. You should wait for a pedestrian to finishing crossing the road before you turn into a road,” another wrote.

“To be fair they are in the cycle lane, you wouldn’t walk in the road like that that’s why there is pavements to walk on,” one man said in the cyclist’s defence.
