Couple charged with injecting woman with meth and filming her death

A husband and wife are charged with injecting a woman with methamphetamine two years ago and videotaping her as she asked for help before she eventually died.

Brian Edward Anderson, 50, and 42-year-old Allie Beth Anderson, from the US state of Oklahoma, were charged on Tuesday (local time) with first-degree murder, court records showed.

They were allegedly responsible for the October 2017 death of 41-year-old Melissa Vermillion at their home in Eucha, about 100km east of Tulsa, in the state’s northeast.

An informant in August linked the two to Vermillion's death and suggested she might have been killed to prevent her from testifying against the couple in a separate case, an affidavit said.

The document said the Andersons faced drug charges in another county.

Jail records showed both Andersons were currently in police custody.
