The teenager, who hasn’t been named by police, was last seen walking on Bowen Bridge Road near the intersection of Butterfield Street around 7.35am on Saturday morning.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the girl was last seen on foot and has not been heard from in the hours since.

Family and police hold welfare concerns for the missing girl, labelling her disappearance “out of character”.

She also has a medical condition which may cause difficulty communicating, the spokesman said.

The teenager was wearing black shorts with a maroon and blue polo shirt, and may be wearing a hoodie.

She is described as caucasian, about 165 cm tall, with dark blonde hair and brown eyes.
