Commuter chaos as services cancelled
All ferries have resumed service after heavy fog blanketed Sydney earlier forcing a mass cancellation.
All services including Harbour and Parramatta River ferries were cancelled on Friday morning due to the fog.
However, the disruption was brief as the fog lifted enough for safe travel by about 7.30am.
“Sydney ferry services are resuming with heavy fog lifting,” the ferry service said.
“Services will be returning to timetable. Listen to announcements and check information displays for service updates.”
Earlier, customers were warned they will need to use alternative transport, including trains or bus to get to work.
