Comedian Rob Schneider to tour Australia

US comedian Rob Schneider will tour Australia when he heads Down Under for the Just For Laughs comedy festival in Sydney later this year.

Schneider, the star of movies Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, Mr Deeds, The Hot Chick, Big Daddy and the TV show Rob will perform in Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane as well as Sydney during October.

Just For Laughs will also feature US funny woman Kathy Griffin.

Schneider's tour coincides with the release of his comedy album Registered Offender.

"I wanted to wait until there was no money in the music biz!" Schneider said in a statement on Tuesday.

October 16 - Astor Theatre, Perth

October 19 - Sydney Opera House (Just For Laughs)

October 21 - Comedy Theatre, Melbourne

October 23 - Her Majesty's Theatre, Adelaide

October 24 - Brisbane, The Tivoli
