Chris Pratt has addressed his possible return for the fourth film in the Jurassic World franchise, leaving the prospect open-ended.

Pratt played Owen Grady in all three instalments of the sequel trilogy, which concluded in 2022 with Jurassic World Dominion.

After months of speculation, the future of the franchise was clearer after Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey joined the cast for the next film, though it was unclear if the new projects would continue the story of Grady.

Pratt has starred alongside Johansson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and spoke about her announcement regarding the Jurassic World franchise whilst also teasing his own future in the series.

“You know what, she didn't, she hasn't called, but, you know, ScarJo, I'm only one call away,” Pratt told Comic Book Resources. I think [Scarlett’s husband] Colin [Jost] has my number. Feel free to reach out. Yeah, that's exciting news. That's real cool.

“Hey, never say never,” he said of his potential return. “Maybe. Maybe I return. Maybe I don't. You'll just have to tune in to find out. I know I'll be first in line, whether I'm in it or not.”

Though the next Jurassic World film has a star-studded cast in the shape of Johansson and Bailey, Top Gun: Maverick and Anyone But You star Glen Powell recently revealed that he turned down the opportunity to appear in the film, citing his unsuitability for the role.

“Jurassic [Park] is one of my favourite movies. It's one of the things I've wanted to do my whole life,” he said. “I'm not doing that movie because I read the script and I immediately was like, my presence in this movie doesn't help it.

“And the script's great. The movie's going to f**king kill. It's not about that. It's about choosing where you're going to make an audience happy and where you're going to make yourself happy.”
