Toddlers exposed to fumes at pool
Four toddlers have been taken to hospital after allegedly being exposed to excess fumes at a public pool in NSW.
Police were called to the Macksville Memorial Aquatic and Fitness Centre about 9.30am on Monday.
The children, all aged under two, were taken to hospital for respiratory distress.
A fifth child was treated at the scene.
Three children are in a stable condition at Macksville Hospital.
Another child at Coffs Harbour Health Campus is also in a stable condition.
Nambucca Valley Council posted about the incident on social media.
“The Macksville Memorial Aquatic and Fitness Centre facility is currently closed and will remain closed until further notice,” the post read.
“Council will update when a reopen date is known.”
SafeWork NSW is leading the investigation into the incident.
