Celebrity Big Brother stars leave in surprise double eviction
Sharon Osbourne left the Big Brother house, along with evictee Lauren Simon.
What did you miss?
Lauren Simon and Sharon Osbourne have left the Celebrity Big Brother in a surprise double eviction.
Osbourne had always made clear she would only be staying in the ITV reality show for one week but her departure was a shock even to her when she was told to leave immediately after the second live eviction.
The Real Housewives of Cheshire star was the second housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house, despite deafening boos from the live audience for The X Factor judge Louis Walsh and chants of "Get Louis Out!"
And before she left Osbourne, 71, sprung one final surprise - after Big Brother asked her to choose two housemates she believed should be in the final.
What, how, and why?
Reality TV star Simon, 51, was up for eviction along with former This Morning host Fern Britton and music manager Walsh. Hearing the boos Walsh said "It'll be me," and even started to stand up. But hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best announced Simon was leaving after receiving the least votes from viewers to save her.
Simon hugged and kissed her housemates saying: "Bye everybody. Thank you for everything. I've had the best time. I'm gonna watch it! I've had so much fun. I love you all."
But after she had left the house and been greeted by her friends and family, Odudu and Best announced there would be another eviction. Big Brother then announced that 'lodger' Osbourne, 71, would be leaving. But first she was tasked with choosing two housemates who she felt had made a lasting impression on her and so deserved to be in the final.
At first Osbourne seemed confused and said she didn't feel able to choose out of the remaining 11 housemates. But she eventually chose Strictly Come Dancing star Nikita Kuzmin "because he's beautiful inside and outside." Kuzmin looked tearful and Walsh said, "That's good."
Asked to choose another housemate Osbourne said: "Well I can't pick Lulu can I?" referring to her old friend Walsh. He said: "Not really, it's too obvious." She then said: "It has to be Levi." Reggae Reggae Sauce creator Levi Roots found fame on Dragons' Den. He has eight different children with seven different mothers, some of whom he is estranged from. Osbourne said: "Levi has got something I'm looking for. He's at peace with the world, he only wants good thigs, and hes just a genuinely good guy. And I really hope that his daughters call him because they don't know what they're missing. Pick up the phone to your dad!" Roots covered his face with his hands to hide his tears.
Osbourne left the house to cheers. She said: "I loved everything. Every single minute I have loved." She was then greeted by daughter Kelly Osbourne.
Earlier in the show Osbourne had admitted she was missing her family "even the smell of [husband ] Ozzy [Osbourne] in the bed next to me."
What else happened on Celebrity Big Brother?
Louis Walsh branded Fern Britton "too old" to have 'The X Factor'.
The housemates were set a popstar audition task and former The X Factor judges Sharon Osbourne, 71, and 71-year-old Walsh. But the Irish music manager immediately decided former This Morning host Britton, 66, was not going to be any good because of her age.
Later Walsh confessed he hated former X Factor stars Jedward, as well as Boyzone star Ronan Keating, who he managed for years.
Celebrity Big Brother airs at 9pm on ITV1, STV, ITVX and STV Player.
