WATCH: News crew splashed with bucket of water while waiting outside Schapelle Corby's villa

Convicted Aussie drug smuggler Schapelle Corby has clashed with journalists waiting outside her villa ahead of her departure from Bali.

Journalists waiting outside Corby's villa were shown that they weren't welcome, as a news crew was splashed with a bucket of water.

It coincides with a stand-off Corby has been involved in with Indonesian authorities as she has failed to sign papers at the prosecutors office, reportedly due the media skirmish outside her villa.

At her family’s home in Logan, Queensland her mother still maintained Corby's innocence as she prepared to welcome her back for the first time in 12 years.

“They know Schapelle is innocent,” she said.

Nephew Wadan Widyartha said the family won’t be rushing her into adjusting to life back home.

He hopes she’ll continue surfing and doing activities she last did while on home soil.

“I guess we’re just going to take it slow, we don’t know what’s happening yet,” he said.

Corby will leave Bali this Saturday, with the next challenging chapter of her life to be settling back into her home country.
