Emma Heming Willis has paid tribute to her husband Bruce Willis as the pair celebrate 16 years together.

The couple wed in March 2009, and have subsequently welcomed two daughters in 2012 and 2014 respectively.

While they have a few months to wait until their 15th wedding anniversary, the couple have commemorated their time together, with Emma writing a heartfelt post on Instagram.

“16 years with this special man. My love and adoration for him only grows 🤍” she wrote, with the caption accompanying a pair of photos as the couple embraced.

The sweet post was filled with comments, with one user writing: “Our love for him is immeasurable as well, Emma. Such a blessing he is to us all. 💙”

“I have so much respect and admiration for you. You’ve kept the public informed while also protecting Bruce. You’ve educated us on his condition while dealing with the process of being a caretaker. Sending hugs,” added another follower.

The post comes after Bruce retired from acting last year after being diagnosed with aphasia as a result of frontotemporal dementia, with Emma referencing her husband’s health battle in a video on Instagram Stories.

“I just got off the phone with a really dear girlfriend of mine who I was able to have a good cry with,” she began. “It is really important to be able to have someone that you can trust with your feelings instead of just bottling them up and putting your best foot forward.

“Holidays and anniversaries are hard. But for me this year it has really been about community, building a connection. And I just want to say it has been my lifeline and I just want to say thank you for that.”
