British Grand Prix 2024: F1 race start time, TV channel, free live stream, staring grid and weather forecast
The home fans will be cheering on an all-British front three when the British Grand Prix gets underway at Silverstone this afternoon.
This has been billed as the latest episode of the brewing rivalry between Lando Norris and Max Verstappen which saw them collide in Austria last weekend, allowing George Russell to swoop in for a rare Mercedes win.
However it is Russell on pole position for tomorrow’s race after Mercedes claimed a one-two in qualifying with Norris third and Verstappen fourth.
Norris had laid down a marker in Friday practice with the quickest time in both sessions, accompanied in the top three by teammate Oscar Piastri on both occasions with Verstappen fourth then seventh.
Saturday practice provided a big hint at what was to come as Russell led Hamilton at the top of the timesheets and so it proved in qualifying, too.
Sergio Perez crashed out in Q1 and Charles Leclerc was left back in 11th to create a fascinating grid for what could be a wet grand prix.
