Britain’s Got Talent spoilers follow.

Britain’s Got Talent has unveiled the latest contestant to receive a Golden Buzzer, with judge Bruno Tonioli using his power for the first time this series.

There had previously been four uses of the buzzer, which immediately sends the chosen act into the next round, and Taryn Charles became the latest contestant to receive such an honour as she wowed the crowd - and Bruno - with her powerful voice.

Performing a rendition of Aretha Franklin’s '(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman', Taryn received two standing ovations as the judges lauded her, with Bruno noting that Taryn had made him "forget" Carole King's cover version.

"You've got one of those amazing tones and raspiness that applies to the saying: 'You could sing the phone book'," added Alesha Dixon. "You've got that classic voice, but above and beyond that, you, my darling, are special.

"From the minute you set foot, just chatting to you, you are so down to earth, so sweet and so humble - then you knocked it out of the park," said Amanda Holden. "I can see how much that moment meant to you, I'm thrilled you've got this chance."

Simon Cowell, who had admitted that he thought Taryn's nerves could get the better of her, said that the star was a prime example of how singing should be done, describing the performance as "proper".
