Teen girl's terrifying encounter with two men in bedroom during burglary

A teenage girl has been allegedly threatened with a knife in her bedroom by one of two men who broke into her home during a burglary spree.

The 15-year-old was set on inside her house on Chateau Street at Calamvale, in Brisbane’s south, about 1.45pm on Monday, according to Queensland Police.

Just after dialling triple-0, the alleged thieves barged into her room and snatched her mobile phone from her before searching the house and fleeing with jewellery.

She was not injured in the incident and later found her phone in another room.

The incident was one of many linked with the robbery of a blue Mazda 3 hatchback in south-east Queensland, which was stolen from a 23-year-old woman on June 7.

Two men jumped into the vehicle on Boundary Road in Thornlands about 4.45am just moments after the woman had parked and got out.

They have also distributed two comfit images of two men they are hoping to speak with in relation to the incidents.

One of the men is aged about 30 with short dark brown hair and another is aged between 25 and 30 with a fair complexion and very short blondish hair.

That same day, the vehicle was seen at four addresses in the Greenbank and Calamvale areas between 12.30pm and 1.45pm.

At 12.30pm a Boulia Street home at Greenbank was broken into and property, including jewellery, was stolen.

Police said the thieves damaged two external doors as well as a window.

At 1.15pm the front doorbell of a Calamvale home on Perkins Street was rung before a 44-year-old woman heard two men in the backyard, with one of the males putting on gloves as he approached the rear door.

The woman called out and the men fled.

About five minutes later two men were seen acting suspiciously outside of a house in Orania Street, Calamvale.

A 45-year-old man queried the men and was verbally threatened by the two men before they entered the stolen blue Mazda 3 and drove away.

They then gained entry to the home with the 15-year-old teenager inside by splintering the house’s door frame.

The men fled the address in the stolen blue Mazda 3 hatchback, described as a 2005 model with Queensland registration 406 JFP.

Anyone with information regarding the vehicle’s current location is urged to contact police (details below). If sighted, please do not approach but immediately call Triple Zero (000).
