Family's plea after man dies in 'online date gone wrong'
The grieving sister of a young man from India who was killed, allegedly after an online date went wrong, has spoken of her devastation.
It is alleged accountant Maulin Rathod, 25, suffered fatal injuries during a date with a woman at her home in Sunbury, northwest of Melbourne.
The victim’s sister, Priyenka Ratso, told 7 News: “It’s my humble request to the Australian government and Indian government to bring him back as soon as possible”.
Ms Ratso said the family didn’t know what to think because they have not been contacted about the incident by Australian authorities.
The woman involved was charged with intentionally causing serious injury and is due to appear in court next week.
