After Brampton shooting, Peel police seek public's help with attempted murder investigation

Peel police are seeking public assistance following a shooting in Brampton on Saturday.

A Brampton man, 34, was at the McMurchy Plaza when he was approached and shot multiple times by an unknown suspect, police said in a news release Sunday.

The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a trauma centre, police said, where he is in "serious but stable condition."

Police described the suspect in the attempted murder investigation as a slim man between the ages of 16 and 18, and between five feet eight inches and five feet 10 inches tall.

"He was last seen wearing a dark-coloured Nike jacket, dark-coloured track pants, and dark-coloured running shoes, possibly Nikes," police said.
