Mr Hazell, 28, assured his followers that he was OK following her sudden and tragic passing, and expressed his gratitude for the support he had received.

“I’ve had so many messages from people wanting to check my well-being, for all those who care about my recovery, I am fine,” he told the camera.

“I just wanted to say thank you for all the nice messages.”

“Emily was the person who encouraged me to talk about how I was feeling. I just wanted to put a video out here because it seems like the easiest way to let people know I’m ok.”

Ms Hartridge, had hundreds of thousands of followers on Youtube, Instagram and Twitter, and was also a presenter on British TV.

Her death was announced in a post to her 49,000 Instagram followers on Saturday.

“This is a horrible thing to have to say over Instagram but we know many of you were expecting to see Emily today and this is the only way to contact you all at once,” the post stated.

“Emily was involved in an accident yesterday and passed away. We all loved her to bits and she will never be forgotten.

“She has touched so many lives it’s hard to imagine things without her. She was a very special person.”
