Investigations are continuing under Strike Force Dribs, which was set up following the violence that erupted outside the Wakeley church on April 15.

Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel was addressing his congregation at Christ The Good Shepherd Church when he was allegedly repeatedly stabbed with a knife by a 16-year-old boy.

The 53-year-old religious leader suffered lacerations to his head and was rushed to hospital. Three other people were also injured.

The service was being livestreamed and an estimated crowd of 2000 people swarmed the church, allegedly causing destruction to police and ambulance vehicles.
