Boy flown to hospital after being bitten by snake in New South Wales
A boy has been flown to hospital after he was bitten by a snake on the New South Wales Central Coast.
The eight-year-old was bitten while playing in long grass at Peats Ridge, shortly after 7:30pm (AEDT) on Saturday.
He was flown to Westmead Children's Hospital in Sydney in a stable condition.
CareFlight spokesman Mark Lever said it was not known what species of snake bit the child.
"The young fellow was not really in a position to identify the snake, but he certainly knew that something had hit him," he said.
