Body image activist Taryn Brumfitt wins Australian of the Year

- Today marks Australia Day, the country's most divisive public holiday. For many, this is a day of mourning, as thousands of people gather in different parts of the country to protest.

- Germany will supply its Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, overcoming misgivings about sending heavy weaponry that Kyiv sees as crucial to defeat the Russian invasion. Germany's decision paves the way for other countries, such as Poland, Spain, and Norway, to supply their stocks of Leopard tanks to Ukraine.

Body image activist Taryn Brumfitt has been named Australian of the Year. Brumfitt heads the body image movement in Adelaide, has written several books, and directed the 2016 documentary on the topic, "Embrace."

A Ukrainian tattoo artist sets a new Guinness World Record, after inking customers for 63 hours straight. Denys Arkhypov said, after he heard the record for continuous inking was held by a Russian, he decided to beat it, calling the competition "another frontline."
