Man's body found 'wedged' in charity bin at Westfield shopping centre

A crime scene has been established at the Westfield Tuggerah location and an investigation is underway.

A man’s body has been found in a charity bin at a Westfield shopping centre car park.

NSW Police confirmed to Yahoo News the man’s body was discovered “wedged in a clothing bin” at Tuggerah, on the Central Coast, at around 4.25am on Tuesday “after a passer-by saw legs hanging out of the chute”.

“Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District attended and found the body of a man wedged inside the chute. He had died at the scene,” a police spokesperson said.

A crime scene has been established at the shopping centre, with customers being diverted from the area, and an investigation is now underway. A bike was also found near the man’s body, The Daily Telegraph reports.

Yahoo understands it is believed the man was rummaging through the charity bin at the time of his death and police are not treating the incident as suspicious.
