Body found in self storage warehouse
A man’s body has been found inside a Kennards Self Storage warehouse on Queensland’s Gold Coast.
Emergency services were called to Olympic Circuit at Southport shortly after 4am on Tuesday after reports a body had been found.
A Queensland Police spokesperson said the 37-year-old’s death was not being treated as suspicious and that a report would be prepared for the coroner.
“A crime scene had been established while inquiries were launched into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death,” the spokesperson said on Tuesday.
Police were awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of the man’s death, but said it was not currently being treated as suspicious.
Officers were seen blocking off access to the premises and stopping customers from using the building on Tuesday, with much of the perimeter cordoned off with tape.
