Diesel is down 8.5 cents per litre this week across most of Newfoundland and Labrador, as retailers begin to phase out the winter blend of the fuel which tends to be more expensive.

It was the biggest change in the Public Utilities Board's weekly adjustment, which saw most fuels change by less than two cents per litre.

Diesel now sits at $2.02 on the Avalon Peninsula, with a high of $2.29 on the north coast of Labrador. Labrador West and Churchill Falls did not see the same decrease in diesel, with their prices only dropping 1.4 cents per litre.

Gasoline went up by 0.5 cents per litre, moving it to a minimum price of $1.83 per litre on the northeast Avalon, and a maximum price of $2.15 on the south coast of Labrador.

Furnace oil, stove oil and propane all decreased by less than two cents per litre.
