The bandeau dress is back — just ask Hailey Bieber
Summer party season is here, and last night Hailey Bieber gave us a lesson in how to keep it cool on warmer nights as she rocked up to Chiltern Firehouse — husband Justin in tow — wearing a strapless grey sequinned bandeau dress with matching grey courts.
Bieber, who was in town for the UK launch of her beauty brand Rhode, kept the look minimal but glam with chunky silver hoops and a simple black shoulder bag.
The ‘90s tube top made a return last summer, with Bella Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski among its fans, and this summer it’s the turn of the tube dress, which looks set to be a sleek and chic way to nail cool-girl summer party dressing.
Bieber’s was from Italian luxury label No. 21’s Pre-Fall 23 collection. It’s not available to shop online yet but they have a similar black midi style for £556 (shop it here).
For other strapless sequinned options look to London label 16 Arlington, whose founder Marco was seen partying alongside Hailey in Chiltern last night, or Norma Kamali’s asymmetric bandeau dress.
And if sequins aren’t your thing, Bec & Bridge does a chic strapless maxi in slinky viscose that comes in four colours and has a cool cut-out detail at the back (£265; shop here), or Mango and Wolford both have black strapless midis that are easy to dress up or down.
Whichever you opt for, it’s shaping up to be a strapless summer.
