Bachelor's Georgia Love slams Ciarran and Timm

Former Bachelorette Georgia Love has joined the ranks of women of the Bachelor series who have been left decidedly unimpressed with the behaviour of two former golden boys on Bachelor in Paradise 2020.

Ciarran Stott and Timm Hanly were fan favourites during Angie Kent’s season of The Bachelorette in 2019, Timm even making the final two, but both have left fans disappointed over some very old-fashioned double standards being played out on the current series.

Ciarran shocked viewers when he slammed intruder Matt Whyatt for going on a date with his ex-girlfriend Renee Barrett without asking his ‘permission’.

This was despite the fact that Ciarran had no issues having a fling with Renee’s friend Jessica Brody in the series’ first episodes, only to unceremoniously ditch her for Kiki Morris when she arrived at the villas.

Oh, and the pair’s relationship ended when the British-born Ciarran cheated on her.

Making matters worse was the fact that Timm sided with Ciarran, invoking the cripplingly archaic structure known as the ‘bro code’ to a collective shudder from most fans of the show.

Georgia Love waded into the murky business with a tweet sent on Thursday morning, throwing in her perspective as a former member of the franchise.

In it, she described the pair as simply ‘horribly unattractive’, a sentiment that saw over 2000 people hit the post with a like.

“What horribly unattractive people Ciarran and Timm turned out to be,” she wrote on the platform. “Wow.”

Many agreed with the tweet, writing that they felt ‘tricked’ by the pair’s positive appearance on Angie’s season.

“Definitely played us all on Angie’s season,” one person wrote. “True colours really showing now.”

Another revealed she had switched off.

“The show should be renamed Bro Code Island & only select members of their bro code allowed,” the former fan wrote. “I’ve actually turned BIP off now, it’s too toxic to be entertainment.”

It’s a sentiment being echoed by several high-profile fans and former participants of the series.

Writer Rosie Waterland, who rose to fame on the back of her hysterical recaps of the show’s first seasons, was similarly scathing in her response.

Angie Kent also had something to say when she saw that nine of her former contestants were starring in this years’ Paradise season, and even gave a scathing nod to the hideous ‘bro code’ that turned viewers tummies.

Taking to her Instagram stories on Tuesday, the former Bachelorette shared a snap of herself sipping on a glass of wine with a brutal caption.

Screengrab of Angie Kent drinking glass of wine captioned: '“Me sitting here knowing that 98% of the fellas from my season were [cast] and only there to get onto BiP. This season should have been renamed ‘98% from Angie’s Season of Bachelorette, in Paradise'… Love that for me. Oh well. I certainly gave it my all and learnt some swell little lessons about myself / dating / ‘excellent pretend daters’ / ‘bro code’ / ‘manipulators’ and most importantly LOVE… even if it wasn’t my forever love! Still conquered my fear and surrendered to the scary L letter word.'
