A model claiming to have been Avicii’s secret girlfriend has shared a number of heartbreaking posts online, revealing her devastation following the Swedish DJ’s death last week.
Tereza Kačerová, a Czech model, uploaded a tragic letter to the late star on Instagram and a montage of pictures which were seemingly taken throughout their relationship, captioning the clip: “The brightest stars burn out the fastest.”
The moving post included images of the DJ, whose real name is Tim Bergling, with the her little son, one picture of the couple kissing, other intimate moments and another photo apparently taken on their “first date”.
After uploading the moving clip Tereza posted a heartbreaking letter which she had penned to the late star, saying now he has gone she is left with a hole in her heart.
It begins: “Dear Tim, I’ve spent the last days waiting to wake up, waiting for someone to tell me that this is some sick joke, some awful mistake.
“I think it’s finally settling on me now that I will never truly get to see you again.”
Tereza opened up about how she struggled to believe the 28-year-old’s death was real, and claimed she had been staring at his wikipedia bio for minutes at a time after it changed from “is” to “was”.
She wrote: “It didn’t make any sense.
“You are too young and wonderful and I love you too much for you to have that written by your name.”
The tragic post continues – with the model claiming she went to his house following his death and took home his sheets and pillows, so she could sleep surrounded by his smell.
Tereza also explained why their relationship was kept private, saying she wanted it to be theirs only.
“But I thought, if I’m going to share this with the world, it will be when I’m pregnant with our child.
“Ohhh how that plan went awry.”
The beloved electronic dance performer was found dead last week in Muscat, Oman. He was 28.
