Aussies rip burning jeans off US truck driver

Courageously an Australian expat tore the burning pants off of a truck driver's body after an explosion erupted on the New Jersey Turnpike.

Jacqui Wilson, 50 and husband Anthony John Wilson, 53 were visiting Jacqui's brother, Simon Byrne, 47 who runs his own talent company in New York.

The family were travelling at 128 kilometres an hour along the New Jersey Turnpike from Washington DC to New York when two trucks collided in front of them, causing the driver to come to a complete stop as an explosion erupted in front of them.

Anthony Wilson recorded the explosive moments on his iPad, capturing his wife and brother-in-law tearing the burning pants off the driver.

As the trucks continued to explode next to them, Byrne runs toward the man telling him to roll on the ground to stop the flames.

Jacqui runs behind her brother and holds the burning driver's hands as her brother puts out the fire.

One of the two truck drivers had allegedly already fled to safety, before the other driver jumped out with his jeans on fire.
