'Didgeridoo man' appears in hilarious new fruit shop ad

An Adelaide man, who went viral for re-enacting his pursuit of a home invader with a didgeridoo, has appeared in a hilarious commercial for a fruit shop.

Kym Abrook, aka “the Digi Man”, was awoken on Monday about 4am to the sound of someone in his Adelaide home and without a second thought, he gave chase, Nine News reported.

After noticing a man making a run for it, he shouted to his neighbours and called on them to help catch him.

He told reporters he chased the man while wielding a didgeridoo.

Mr Abrook also re-enacted the pursuit on foot, while shirtless, in a news report which shot him to fame.

On Friday, Mr Abrook appeared in an ad for St Bernards Fruit and Veg Market with owner John Kapiris.

He appears shirtless and carrying his didgeridoo.

“I’ve come down here to smash some prices,” he says.

“Well if you want to smash my prices down, get your ass inside my shop,” Mr Kapiris tells him.

The pair then go through the store discussing discounts.

Mr Kapiris told the Adelaide Advertiser the pair “had a great laugh” making the ad.

He added Mr Abrook was not paid to do the ad as it was not part of an agreement they had.

“He’s just like a superhero,” Mr Kapiris said.

The video of the ad has more than 35,000 views.

“This is gold,” one woman wrote.

One man called the ad “brilliant” and another asked if Mr Abrook was “Hollywood bound”.

A 32-year-old man has been charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass and theft over the incident on Monday morning.

He is due to face court in August.
