Adam Sandler pays tribute to former co-star dead at 20
Adam Sandler has paid tribute to actor Cameron Boyce, after the star of the Disney series ‘Descendants’ died aged 20.
Boyce’s cause of death was confirmed by his family to a US media outlet as an “ongoing medical condition".
"It is with a profoundly heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron," a spokesperson for the Boyce family told ABC News on Saturday evening (local time).
Boyce’s family said the 20-year-old had “passed away in his sleep due to a seizure” and said they were “utterly heartbroken”.
On Sunday, Sandler paid tribute to Boyce on Instagram.
Sandler and Boyce both starred in movies Grown Ups and Grown Ups 2.
Boyce played Sandler’s son in both films.
“Too young. Too sweet. Too funny. Just the nicest, most talented, and most decent kid around,” Sandler wrote on Instagram.
“Loved that kid. Cared so much about his family. Cared so much about the world. Thank you, Cameron, for all you gave to us.”
Sandler added, “all our hearts are broken”.
Boyce had more than eight million followers on Instagram and had posted an image of himself the day before his death.
