Baby abandoned at airport with heartbreaking note
A newborn baby has been found abandoned at an Arizona airport with a heartbreaking note attached.
The baby boy was found abandoned on a changing table in a bathroom at Tucson International Airport on January 14, Fox News reports. The child was transported to hospital and was found to be healthy.
Finding the baby's mother has been an ongoing investigation. Tucson Airport Authority Police has recently released video of a woman believed to be the mother along with a photo of a note found with the child.
"Please help me," the note reads.
"My mum had no idea she was pregnant. She is unable and unfit to take care of me. Please get me to the authorities so they can find a good home.
"I just want what is best for him and it is not me.
"Please.
I'm sorry."
A pair of lace green underwear and black sweat pants covered in blood and bodily fluids have also been found, ABC 15 reports. It's believed these clothing items might be the mother's.
Police have described her as being in her mid 20s and about 170cm tall.

Arizona has a Safe Haven Law allowing mothers to safely and anonymously to give up babies without fear of prosecution. The baby has to be under 72 hours old.
However, airports aren't one of these locations. Babies can be left with staff members at hospitals, emergency service providers, fire station, licensed adoption and private child welfare agencies, and any church in Arizona.
