Man charged with DUI after getting his drive through order very wrong

A driver with a hankering for a burrito was arrested and slapped with a DUI after he was found asleep at a drive-through window - only he wasn’t at a fast food outlet.

Florida man Douglas Francisco, 28, was found unconscious behind the wheel in the drive-through lane of a Bank of America branch last Wednesday.

The drive up banking facility at selected locations allows customers to do their banking from the comfort of their car.

The bank manager called the police after he found the driver unconscious inside a blue sedan, Hernando County Sheriff's Office confirmed to ABC6.

The manager reportedly banged on the sedan’s window “for some time” until Francisco woke up and asked him for a burrito.

When the banker told the confused driver he was not at Taco Bell, he drove away - but didn’t make it far.

Police arrived at the bank a short time later to find the blue car idling in the parking lot.

Francisco failed sobriety tests, was arrested, and charged with DUI.

According to the arrest report, Francisco provided delayed and unusual responses to officers' questions and admitted to carrying Oxycodone and Xanax, for which he had prescriptions.

He was jailed on $1250 bond.

The arrest follows a November incident where an intoxicated Sydney vegan was fined $1000 for abusing staff at a McDonald's drive through when they couldn't serve him 200 chicken McNuggets during the breakfast menu.
