Two NSW men charged after child exploitation sting
Two men have been charged after a NSW police covert online investigation into child exploitation.
A 40-year-old man from the Northern Rivers area was arrested on Tuesday on the Evans River and later charged with using a carriage service to procure a person under 16 years old for sexual activity.
Police will allege in court the man believed he was speaking to a 13-year-old girl, and engaged in sexually-explicit conversations with the supposed child and made arrangements to meet her in person.
After the arrest, police executed a search warrant at a caravan park and a home, where several electronic devices and items of clothing were seized.
He was refused bail and will appear at Lismore Local Court on Wednesday.
A 31-year-old man was also arrested at a business at Alstonville on Monday.
