Man fights for life after found in pool of blood at Queensland shopping centre

A man is fighting for life after he was found with a stab wound to the stomach at the top of an escalator at a Queensland shopping centre.

The 25-year-old was found by a member of the public on Monday evening at at the Underwood Marketplace Shopping Centre in Logan, south of Brisbane.

The man was believed to be retuning to his car in a downstairs parking lot and had an altercation with another man.

He was then stabbed in the car park and climbed the escalator to get help, police said.

He was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition and had surgery overnight.

A crime scene has been established at the shopping centre.
