WATCH: Woman climbs through McDonald's drive-thru window to steal cash, food

Police are trying to track down a woman who was filmed climbing through a McDonald’s drive-thru and helping herself to an array of food and cash.

While the fast-food store may have been closed, nothing was going to stop this woman from getting her late-night Macca's feed at the Columbia store in the US state of Maryland.

It’s not clear if the sliding window was left unlocked or if the customer managed to pry it open.

Balancing herself on the window ledge, the thief decides to first quench her thirst with a soft drink from the machine.

While filling her cup, she decides that if she’s come this far, she may as well go one step further and go for the complete meal.

CCTV from inside the store shows the brazen thief awkwardly wriggle her body through the tightfitting window.

Keen for the full McDonald’s dining experience, she even puts a lid on her drink before making her way further into the store where she finds an entire box of food.

It was at about this point she decides she should probably try and conceal her identity from the store’s security cameras and pulls her t-shirt over her head.

Struggling to keep her shirt up while also balancing the huge box, she stumbles and drops the box, revealing a tattoo on her lower back that police believe may be a potential clue in tracking her down.

They said she escaped with a “considerable amount” of cash in addition to the food and medium soft drink.
