Horror fuel tanker collision kills three teen siblings in 'split second'
Three siblings travelling home from a New South Wales fair have been killed in a horror crash involving a fuel tanker, a truck and a four wheel drive.
The accident happened on the Newell Highway, about 30km south of the New South Wales town of Boggabilla near the Queensland border, around 6am on Monday.
Jack Pink, 19, and his sisters Marina, 17, and Destiny, 15, were killed instantly when the fuel tanker, truck and four wheel drive collided.
It is understood that Jack Pink, who was driving the truck, veered onto the wrong side of the road into the path of the tanker, which then swerved off the highway.
His two sisters are believed to have been in the four wheel drive behind him.
The driver of the tanker, the only survivor of the horror crash, was ejected from the vehicle and found by another truck driver. He was then airlifted to hospital.
With debris still strewn across the highway and hazardous material leaking out of the truck after the collision, the highway could remain closed until tomorrow.
The siblings are believed to be part of a family that works on the travelling show circuit. They were believed to be returning to Brisbane after attending a show in Dubbo.
Within hours of the crash, a GoFundMe page was set up to help the Pink family.
"As you can imagine this is an incredibly difficult time for their parents Jaze and Glenn and siblings Coral, Jeanna, George and Patrick," a statement reads.
"Jaze and Glen are good people with an amazing family ... What they do is everything for the kids. To lose 1 would be crazy. They lost 3 in 1 split second is just out of this world.
"They are great people and their sacrificial love for their kids knows no bounds. This is a crushing blow to this tight knit family."
