Bomb disposal experts rush to college in south-west Manchester
An army bomb disposal team has rushed to a reported incident at a college in Hulme in south-west Manchester, according to police.
The Greater Manchester Police have since deemed the area as safe.
The Sun reported that soldiers had scrambled to the area after there was reports of an explosion.
Several roads were closed and officers were “assessing the situation”.
Channel 4 correspondent Ciaran Jenkins tweeted the bomb disposal unit on site had since departed the area.
As Manchester prepares for minute's silence, a bomb disposal team is working in the Hulme area of the city.
