Sydney mansion listing's bizarre hidden message - but will it put off buyers?
Most Sydney mansions tend to create envy, however one Mosman waterfront is raising eyebrows for a rather unusual feature.
Remarkably it’s not the stunning harbour views, poolside terrace, home gym or a private four-storey elevator that are causing a stir.
“Harbour views, inspirational spaces and a comprehensive list of extras create a home that is instantly impressive but also suited to a busy family lifestyle,” the listing reads.
Everything seems to be in order here.
And while the state-of-the-art kitchen is well advertised, the listing fails to mention anything about a bizarre sign above the kitchen stove.
“I don’t have to be a good cook, I’m a trophy wife.”
While some social media users thought the sign was a bit of harmless fun, others weren't so forgiving of the previous homeowners taste.
"Looks fade, hunger does not, marry a good cook," one man wrote.
"As a marketing tool, this is clearly an excellent idea. Will generate massive publicity," another said.
"Nothing that a visit from a painter will not deal with in 30 mins."
