Man, aged in 60s, drowns at Bondi beach, woman rushed to hospital
A man has drowned at Bondi beach while a woman was also pulled from the surf in a critical condition.
Lifeguards rushed out to the man, believed to be aged in his 60s, but he sadly couldn't be revived.
Witnesses said they saw lifeguards performing CPR on the man on the sand.
Police have been called in, with a report expected to be prepared for the coroner.
The woman, aged in her 50s, was also pulled unconscious from the water and has been rushed to St Vincent's Hospital.
It's believed both the man and woman suffered a cardiac arrest at the popular beach.
