Pedophile sentenced after being confronted by vigilantes in UK

The man caught on camera by a group of pedophile hunters in the UK has been sentenced to a suspended prison term.

Vigilante group Dark Justice caught William Orr meeting up with a 16-year-old boy in Newcastle and contacted police, with the 55-year-old arrested 250 miles away.

He contacted the thought-to-be teen named 'Tom' via an online chatroom, but the vigilante group had created the fake profile, Newcastle crown court heard.

Orr told 'Tom' he was 43 and sent explicit pictures of himself in underwear and performing a sexual act.

Orr asked ‘Tom’ to send a “xxx pic back". At this time, the boy had told him he was 16.

The court heard Orr had struggled to cope after losing his wife Linda to cancer at the age of 25, and his soldier son Damien in Afghanistan.

Orr was sentenced to six months in prison, suspended for two years, and ordered to attend a sex offenders rehabilitation program.
