The body of a 35-year-old hairdresser who was stabbed to death has been found in Sydney’s Potts Point.

Police were called to the home on St Neot Avenue about 6.50am on Thursday after the woman’s father sparked concerns about her welfare.

The father had reportedly received a concerning phone call from her daughter’s husband on Wednesday night.

"It is alleged that the son-in-law told him certain things, which brought the concern from the father to speak with police today," Kings Cross Local Area Commander Michael Fitzgerald said.
