Two men 'threatened to kill' Deputy Premier Troy Grant over greyhound ban
Two men reportedly threatened to kill Deputy Premier Troy Grant and his family over the government’s decision to ban greyhound racing.
Police arrested two men, aged, 22 and 31, in Molong on the weekend.
It is believed they made threats to the office of Mr Grant, saying they would burn down a staff member's home, Daily Telegraph reports.
The men are reportedly members of the greyhound industry and one is believed to have a strong connections to the Bandido bikie gang.
It is alleged the threats were made last week.
A 22-year-old man has been charged with use carriage service to threaten to kill, and use carriage service to menace/harass/offend.
The 31-year-old has been charged with use carriage service to menace/harass/offend.
Detectives travelled from Dubbo and took them to Orange Police station where they were both charged.
They are to appear in Orange Local Court on Monday 5 September 2016.
Premier Mike Baird has confirmed that legislation to shut down the NSW greyhound racing industry, which will come into force in July 2017
