Furious driver plays cat and mouse with motorcyclist in high-speed road rage attack

An aggressive driver repeatedly tried to ram and swerve into a motorcyclist in a high-speed road rage chase caught on helmet cam.

The incident was recorded Rone Gonzalez's helmet cam on March 4 revealing an angered driver trying to cause the motorcyclist to crash in Homestead, Florida.

That 23-year-old mechanic was on his way to work when the angered motorist driving a red Ford Fusion cut him off before playing a dangerous game of cat and mouse - reaching speeds of 144 kmp/h.

The pair were stopped at a red light and several words were exchanged before Mr Gonzalez reportedly smacked the driver's mirror and zoomed off, 7 News US reports.

In the video, Mr onzalez tries to flee the scene by speeding away, coming close to oncoming traffic.

The chase lasts for several minutes and rider and driver swerve between multiple cars.

At one stage the furious pair travels into the opposite lane while the driver hangs out of his car while attempting to spit on Mr Gonzalez.

The two continue to feud while travelling at the high-speed, forcing the motorbike rider to drift into oncoming traffic, narrowly avoiding a head-on collision by squeezing between moving vehicles and the shoulder of the road.

Mr Gonzalez admitted that hitting the driver's window wasn't the best way he could of reacted to the situation.

"I don't know, to be honest. It was a stupid move," he told the station adding he wants to bring awareness of the damage road rage can do to property and people.
